Do you love oatmeal but don't have time to cook it every morning? Then fridge oats are for you.  Make them the night before and eat them cold in the morning.  No more excuses for skipping breakfast!

Berries & Cream Fridge Oats
Serves 1

1/4 cup steel cut oats
3 Tbsp old fashioned oats
1/2 cup fat free Greek yogurt
1/4 cup milk (I used vanilla unsweetened almond milk- my fave!)
2 Tbsp sliced almonds
2 tsp pure maple syrup
1/4 cup fresh blueberries

Place all ingredients in a covered glass container, cover and shake to mix.  Place in refrigerator overnight (8-12 hours), then eat in the morning!

  1. I have been making this everyday for a week and am not tired of it yet. It reminds me of granola but without all the fat. I also like that you can mix it up with different berries and nuts. I've also used honey instead of maple and throw in some shredded coconut before eating. Thanks for sharing this.

  2. This looks totally healthy! I wanna try this one, right after I get my fridge repaired next week. Thanks for sharing. I'm excited to taste the oats, combined with Greek yogurt.

  3. Oats, I heard is just one of the healthiest breakfast meals and this, just looks so delicious and healthy! I'll definitely try this out and I'll probably add more fruits in it.

  4. So are the steel cut oats edible without breaking a tooth? I've never tried eating them without cooking a *long* time.

  5. Yes Nichole! I eat them almost everyday and I still have all of my teeth ;)
